There's a founder in Erode
as good as anyone in Bangalore.
She works just as hard, and her idea is just as good. What she doesn't have is easy access to a room full of investors — the thing a Bangalore founder barely has to think about.
There, that room is a short drive away most weeks. Here it's a train, a favour from someone who knows someone, and a meeting that often falls through anyway.
The talent was never the problem. The access was. Our Tier-2 cities hold a big share of the state's economy and its startups, and almost none of its startup money. Closing that gap, in a single day in Erode, is really the whole point of this.
